Amid DUAL diploma studies, once or twice a month, students have to attend Live Sessions (an online meeting with their teacher). The topics discussed are varied, relevant and very interesting. They not only help students to understand English and gain new lexis, owing to that, they are also able to think and explain their point of view adding a well organized reasoning. In 3º of preschool we are reviewing the first and second group of Jolly Phonics through fun songs, worksheets and games. We know very well what movements and sounds correspond to each graphic. In addition, we have begun to read simple words that contain them as we show you in this video.
En Francés también hemos querido mostrar nuestro apoyo en el Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer. El alumnado de 1º y 2º de Bachillerato ha elaborado a mano estos carteles con mensajes en francés en los que rechazan el maltrato y reafirman su apoyo a la Mujer. Sus trabajos están expuestos en los pasillos del colegio.

Infant school means learning every day everywhere. This time, during the hosting period of the little ones and all through October and a bit of November, 3-year-old children have learnt about toilet routines in English: doing a wee wee, washing hands and drinking water. It’s a great achievement for our youngest students! Congratulations!

El 8 de noviembre nuestra compañera Arantxa Canal impartió una sesión de actualización sobre e-Twinning. Gracias a esta herramienta, alumnado de 2º ESO de nuestro colegio con sus profesoras Eva, Yolanda y Gloria está contactando con sus correspondientes franceses del colegio Alouette (Pessac) de cara al intercambio que realizaremos este curso.
They are not wearing the square academic cap nor the gown but we could call this unofficial ceremony the graduation somehow. Anyway it’s their graduation and we are all delighted to make it official here.

Monsters, spiders, skeletons and more scary creatures walked around Sagrado Corazón school last week. They put everything upside down… they sang, danced and roared. What an amazing week! We wish you a very happy Halloween!
Our English journey has started very busy this year for our 2nd grade children. Our peers have worked very hard these two months, doing a huge amount of activities. We sang some catchy songs while learning the classroom material vocabulary. We also listened to a story and we represented a beautiful theatre afterwards. What an amazing job!
De nuevo tenemos la suerte de contar con dos auxiliares de conversación nativos y con mucha experiencia para nuestros departamentos de Inglés. Congratulations Marcos, Ming, Rubén, Lucía and Pelayo, you have successfully achieved the DUAL. You were among the first to sign up for this demanding and highly challenging program. You’ve showed a lot of qualities these last four years; positive attitude, perseverance, organization, motivation… You have not failed and you can be very proud of the work you have done.
English teachers have thought it would be very beneficial to join the project “Something is blooming”. We have taken the opportunity to introduce English vocabulary about spring through stories, songs, dances, poems and crafts.
A wide variety of attractive activities which have helped our children to learn the content in a playful way. We have known more about the butterfly metamorphosis by reading the following stories: “The very hungry caterpillar” and “Is it a butterfly?”.
